Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for setting and upholding Comfrt’s quality standards across all product categories. This role ensures our global vendor base—particularly overseas manufacturing partners—meets and exceeds U.S. and EU, Canada, Australia compliance requirements. The QA Manager will collaborate with Product Development, Technical Design, and Production teams to identify potential issues, solve problems proactively, and deliver products that consistently reflect Comfrt’s brand promise of comfort and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic QA leadership: Owner of global QA frameworks, SOPs, and compliance standards across all vendors and countries of production.
- Set Quality Standards: Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols, testing protocols, inspection protocols. Define, document, and maintain Comfrt’s quality benchmarks across product categories.
- Problem Solving: Responsible for quickly identify root causes analysis of quality issues and drive corrective action plan management with vendors and internal teams, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain
- Partnership with Product Development, Sourcing, and Operations to ensure quality is built in from concept → production → final inspection
- Vendor Compliance: Responsible for vendor performance management, including audits, scorecards, and training and ongoing evaluations. Enforce adherence to quality standards with overseas vendors and factories; conduct audits, training,
- Testing & Compliance: Establish and maintain testing protocols. Ensure all products meet U.S., EU Canada & Australia quality and safety standards, including performance, durability, and regulatory compliance.
- Inspection Management: Manage in-line inspections, size set approvals, pre-production meetings, and final inspections to mitigate risk before shipment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Develop QA SOPs, maintain inspection reports, and provide visibility to cross-functional teams.
- Training & Development: Lead quality training for internal teams and vendor partners to continuously elevate standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technical Design, Merchandising, and Production to ensure quality is built into every stage of the process.
- Categories: Apparel (Casual, Athleisure, Sleep), Kids and Pet Apparel, Home, Handbags, Luggage, Accessories.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a QA team, influence senior stakeholders, and implement scalable systems that support rapid growth
- 15+ years of experience in quality assurance/control within apparel manufacturing.
- 10+ years of experience in people management.
- The role demands a superior fluency in using electronic communication (Slack, WhatsApp, Goggle Team, Zoom …) and analytical tools (MS Excel, Google Sheet …) as well as coaching team members and reports on the use of such tools.
- Substantial ability to synthesize in the moment and in the long term (“connecting the dots”) is necessary to quickly analyze and respond to the substantial flow of information and signals received from vendors and the field.
- The Quality Assurance Manager is then expected to pro-actively formulate approach to QA issue resolution and to get and keep stakeholders in sync on how issues are addressed, the trajectory of remediation plan and problem resolution.
- Strong background working with overseas vendors (China, Vietnam, etc.).
- Expert knowledge of U.S., EU, Canada & Australia apparel quality and safety standards.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and vendor training.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills across cross-functional and vendor teams.
- Ability to travel internationally for vendor visits, audits, and inspections.
